Linden Comansa presents its newest luffer in Bauma

All series from the Spanish manufacturer have been exhibited at the Munich fair

LCL 190

Linden Comansa finishes Bauma 2010 show with very good vibrations. The Munich fair has been the perfect scenario for the worldwide launch of the LCL 190, the first of a new series of luffing jib cranes from Linden Comansa. This model comes in two versions, with 12 or 18 tonnes of maximum load, and a jib length from 30 to 60 meter long. The standard version has a freestanding height of 49.5 meters.

Among all advantages of the new design, stands out the simple and fast erection, with light components. Also the crane transport is possible in few standard containers and trucks. The LCL 190 crane is designed having the hoist mechanism situated at the front under the jib instead as before on the counter-jib. The luffing mechanism, with its emergency second brake, and the electric cupboard for the control of the crane are placed on the counterjib. This unique new design from Linden Comansa allows to, reduce the installation weights, reduce the slewing radius of the counter-jib, enhance free spaces for the service of the main mechanisms and improve the kinematics of the hoisting cable as the route is direct with less cable pulleys involved. Furthermore Hoisting and Luffing cables come preinstalled from the factory for faster installation of the crane.

LCL 190

Among all the innovations included in the LCL 190 crane, the most important are: the new hydraulic push and retention system, with a progressive force application on the jib in relation to the luffed-in radius, allowing a smooth movement without sudden steps; the hydraulic pressure control system for the safety of its function; the travel control of the luffing movement; and an anti loosening system for the luffing cable tension.

As it happens with the rest of the brand’s cranes, the main characteristic of the new family of luffing cranes that Linden Comansa is developing is the modularity, as most of the jib sections are interchangeable among the cranes of the series. Furthermore, mast sections will be interchangeable too, not only among the cranes off this luffing-jib series, but also with other Flat-Top tower cranes From Comansa. Linden Comansa’s modular system is a great help for rental companies which are the main customers of Linden Comansa.

With the series of luffing jib cranes, the rest of the families from Linden Comansa have also been very well represented in Bauma:

21 LC 750

21 LC 750 Flat-Top tower crane, from the LC2100 series
The biggest crane (to date) from Linden Comansa is the 21 LC 750, which has been exhibited for the first time in a fair in Bauma. It comes in versions with 24, 36 and 48 tonnes of maximum load, which makes it perfect not only for residential construction but also for public works, industrial buildings, mining and infrastructure. Erected over a spectacular 10 meter wide folding cross base, this giant has a special design wich allows a fast an easy erection, something really unique in a crane of this type.

The main characteristics of the 21 LC 750 crane are:
- Version of 24, 36 and 48 tonnes of maximum load
- Maximum freestanding height of 80.9 meters
- 80 meters of maximum jib length
- Maximum jib-end load between 6500 (48t version) and 7000 kilos (24 and 36t)
- Hoisting engine of 110 kW
- Three versions, with maximum loads of 24, 36 and 48
- New double trolley system with automatic reeving change
- Lebus hoisting drum with capacity for 1450 meters of cable
- Modular Flat-Top, system, compatible with the rest of the cranes in the LC2100 series
- New slewing unit design, removing the upper cat-head element and speeding up erection
- Mast sections 2.5 m wide, with panel structure and easy to transport.

11 LC 150

11 LC 150 Flat-Top crane, from the LC1100 Series
Launched in 2008, lhe entire LC1100 Series features a compact design of the slewing platform, which helps enormously on its erection, transport and maintenance. The 11 LC 150 crane has a maximum load of 8 tonnes, and a maximum jib length of 60 meters. Other characteristics of this crane are:

- Possibility of jib ranges every 2.5 m. which offers a higher range of possibilities
- New trolley system in single or single / double reeving with automatic changeover, to offer maximum load and speed performance at any jib length.
- New lifting mechanisms, to offer higher under-hook heights
- Innovative semi-automatic trolley cable tensioning system.

5 LC 5010

5 LC 5010 Flat-Top tower crane, from the LC500 Series
Linden Comansa has exhibited in Bauma the biggest crane of the LC500 Series but only 3 meters high to ease all visitors and curious to see the details. The 5 LC 5010 crane, with maximum load of 5 tonnes, has been used to show all the new features added by Linden Comansa -regarding digital indicators, zoning-control system, cabin and comfort for the user- to fulfill the new EN 14439 European Standard.

The main characteristics of this crane are:
- Maximum load of 5 tonnes
- Maximum freestanding height of 50.3 meters
- Maximum jib length of 51 meters, with maximum jib-end load of 1000 kilos
- Developed under the Flat-Top modular system, with many advantages:
